"New Orleans - Where Beads Grow on Trees"

Actual Size: Approximately 10x13 inches
Framed Size: 16x20 inches

A vibrant felted depiction of a New Orleans shotgun house with a beaded Mardi Gras tree, featuring Mardi Gras colors of purple, green and gold under a crescent moon.

The background of this painting was created by wet and Nuno felting using merino wool, bamboo, silk, and angelina fibers. Then the details of the house and trees were needle felted with merino wool and art yarns. And the most labor intensive part was hand stringing and attaching all of the strands of beads.

This is a commissioned piece.
